safe drivers. It offers competitively priced car insurance,
especially to those with four or more year's No Claim Discount.
Privilege was launched in 1994 by The Royal Bank of Scotland
plc. It attracted 250,000 customers in its first four years’
business, making it, at that time, the UK's fastest-growing
general insurance company.
At launch, Privilege served a non-standard market, estimated
at 6 million drivers, however over time, the service evolved
to include London, Executive and over-fifties drivers.
Their current product portfolio includes car insurance, home
insurance and breakdown cover.
Benefits of Privilege’s car insurance policy includes:
BUPA Recover, if you have comprehensive cover and are injured
in a traffic accident BUPA Recover can provide up to £400
of private physiotherapy; No Claim Discount, up to 65%; Approved
repair network; Repairs guaranteed for at least 5 years when
undertaken by an approved repairer; Courtesy car provided for
you if you use one of our approved repairers; and replacement
car stereo item .
Their home insurance policy will be discounted when you switch
your Home Insurance to them - you'll get a 20% discount off
your first year's premium. If you have Privilege car insurance,
then you get a 25% introductory discount on your Home Insurance.
You will also get a 5% discount for buying online.
Their home insurance is fully approved by all major mortgage
lenders, and their buildings insurance covers you against disasters
such as storm, flood damage and subsidence, while their contents
cover will replace your old items with new equivalents. You
can also add an Accidental Damage option to your buildings or
contents cover.
