Virgin Insurance
In 1971, Richard Branson opened the very first Virgin record
shop on Oxford Street in London. Over thirty five years later,
the Virgin brand has products in every part of the consumer
marketplace - everything from flights to finance, wine to books,
and ‘phones to gaming!
Here we take a look at the three most important insurance products
you may need.
The Virgin Life Insurance policy has many benefits including:
• A cash lump sum to help cover your debts and support your
family if you die
• Premiums starting from as little as 17p a day
• A choice of level term cover or reducing cover, depending
on why you need it
• Cover for terminal illness built-in which pays out if you’re
given less than a year to live
• Discounts if you and your partner apply and pay for cover
together
• If you’re in the middle of buying a house, free life cover
between exchange of contracts (or if you’re buying in Scotland,
from the date the missives are concluded) and mortgage completion
Virgin Pet Insurance offers three types of pet insurance for
your cat and/or dog. These are:
• Accidental injury
This is the cheapest way of insuring your four legged friend
and is designed to help cover one-off, unexpected costs if your
pet is involved in an accident. It also has other benefits too.
• Accident and illness
This policy covers your pet against accidents and illness. It
has a maximum time and amount that will be paid out for each
condition. This keeps the premiums affordable
• Accident and illness extra
This policy offers maximum cover at a very competitive price.
It will cover your cat or dog from the start of any accident
or illness for the rest of its life - or until you reach the
maximum amount that they’ll pay out.
Subject to conditions, you can also add ‘Pet travel cover’
to the Accident and illness or Accident and illness extra cover
policies, providing you protection while travelling abroad with
your pet.
The Virgin Car Insurance policy consists of three different
types:
• Comprehensive
This covers you for almost everything! You and your car will
be covered for any accident you have, whether it’s your fault
or not, plus you are protected against your car being stolen,
broken into, or fire damaged. Subject to availability when you
use an approved repairer, you’ll also get a courtesy car while
yours is being repaired.
• Third party, fire and theft
This covers you for damage you do to others, as well as if your
car catches fire or if it stolen. But if you cause an accident,
any repairs to your car will be paid by you.
• Third party
This is the most basic type of car insurance and is only available
for cars worth less than £5,000. If you have a bump and
it’s your fault, the damage you do to other people’s cars or
property is covered. But whatever happens to your car isn’t!
